On the morning of September 23, the school of mechanical engineering of Northwestern Polytechnical University and AECC South Industry Co., Ltd.(AECC South) jointly held the unveiling ceremony of the demonstration base for collaborative education of aero-engine intelligent manufacturing of the Ministry of industry and information technology. Prof. Zhu Jihong, dean of the school of mechanical engineering, attended the unveiling ceremony, Prof. Chang Zhiyong, vice dean presided over the unveiling ceremony. Prof. Liu Ping, vice party secretary and Mr. Jiang Shaotang, vice Minister of the human resources department of AECC South , and delegation o AECC South also attended the ceremony.

Prof. Zhu Jihong first reviewed the long history of cooperation between AECC South  and Northwest Polytechnic University. According to the requirements of the Ministry of industry and information technology and the University, the school of mechanical engineering will improve the cooperation planning, strengthen the process management, establish an efficient management mode and open sharing mechanism, and further deepen the cooperation with AECC South in collaborative education.

Prof. Chang Zhiyong and Prof. Liu Ping expressed their gratitude for the strong support of AECC South to the undergraduate production practice work of the school during the pandemic period, and put forward specific measures and suggestions on high-level personnel training, scientific and technological exchanges, professional laboratories, joint research on key techniques in the future.

Mr. Jiang Shaotang  said that the university-enterprise cooperation will further consolidate the advantages of universities and enterprises. Based on the cooperation platform, AECC South will build a deep integration strategic cooperation system and make unremitting efforts in the cultivation and transportation of high-level talents.

After the ceremony, the delegation of AECC South visited the joint research center of Shaanxi aero-engine intelligent assembly technology.
